Thank you Aleksa, this is so great. Really appreciated the sentence "To me, this underscores the potentially disastrous ripples of trying to take others’ lives into one’s own hands." after the passage about Christianity. I think about this so much tbh!!

I also love " And I don’t purport to heal people directly. Instead, I midwife healing as a phenomenon defined by each person I encounter in practice."

Aww thank you for commenting...I often think about the potential dangers of energetic healing and how herbalism can involve a practitioner-client energy exchange even though we're not (typically) doing hands-on bodywork. I've definitely been focusing on developing my own energetic boundary practices to keep myself and my clients safe as I see more and more. Yes, I am all about diving into the liminal spaces and grey areas. Grateful to be in community with you!
